Job summary

Barratt Developments plc is recruiting for a Site Manager to oversee construction on large developments. You will ensure health and safety standards, manage labour, materials and sub-contractors, and drive quality to meet programme targets.

The role emphasises compliance with NHBC standards and Building Regulations, with a hybrid working setup where roles allow. Leadership and customer-focused delivery are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering to an established build programme.
• Ability to deliver weekly targets through proactive organisation.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills.
• Demonstrated leadership and assertive delivery on site.
• Proactive prioritisation to meet changing business needs.
• Strong problem-solving ethic with root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Manage construction of developments on site, ensuring health and safety and quality targets.
• Coordinate labour and resources to deliver the build programme on large sites.
• Monitor material levels to maintain stock and efficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with NHBC standards, Building Regulations and company standards.
• Approve payments to contractors and trades where appropriate.
• Lead plot inspections with inspectors and drive best practice.

Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders

NVQ Level 5 in Construction Management
