Job summary

Barratt Redrow PLC seeks a Site Manager to oversee construction across developments in the UK, ensuring health and safety, quality, and customer care. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you’ll manage labour, costs and the build programme on site.

You’ll lead trades, maintain NHBC and Building Regulations compliance, conduct inspections and site briefings, and work with internal teams and partners to deliver homes on time and to spec.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience of working to an established build programme.
• Proven ability to consistently deliver weekly targets through good organisation of labour.
• Excellent communicator with emphasis on explaining detail and getting compliance.
• Demonstrated leadership and assertive skills for high quality on site.
• Ability to prioritise tasks to meet changing business needs and solve problems.
• Member of the Chartered Institute of Builders and/or NVQ Level 5 in Construction Management, or time served tradesman.
• In-depth knowledge of construction, NHBC requirements and Building Regulations, and customer interactions.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring compliance on site with health and safety standards, NHBC standards, regulations and quality.
• Co-ordinating labour and resources to deliver the build programme and scheduling trades.
• Ensuring plots are built to the highest standard and NHBC standards.
• Undertaking quality control procedures and rectifying defects to avoid delays.
• Monitoring and controlling production costs and approving contractor payments.
• Conducting plot inspections with Local Building Inspector or NHBC and taking corrective action.
• Carrying out toolbox talks and on-site briefings.
• Liaising with internal departments, external suppliers and partners to achieve the build programme.
• Working with Sales to ensure smooth delivery of homes to customers.
