A leading construction firm is seeking an experienced Project Manager and Senior Site Manager to join the delivery team for a high-profile £18m industrial development. The ideal candidates will have proven experience with industrial projects, a strong understanding of steel frame construction, and experience with BREEAM-rated projects. This is a site-based role located in Stevenage, focusing on sustainability-led construction. The candidates will manage site operations, ensuring all works are delivered to the highest standards of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering industrial or commercial projects of similar scale.
• Strong understanding of steel frame construction and groundworks.
• Experience working on BREEAM-rated projects (Outstanding/Excellent preferred).

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for programme, cost, quality, and client liaison.
• Managing design coordination and subcontractor performance.
• Driving delivery to meet BREEAM Outstanding requirements.
• Day-to-day management of site operations and subcontractors.
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager and Senior Site Manager (SSM) to join the delivery team on a flagship £18m industrial development.

Project

• Construction of 3 no. mid-tech industrial units, each approx. 55,000 sq ft
• BREEAM Outstanding target
• Project is currently on site, entering the earthworks phase
• Steelwork commencement scheduled for early February

Role Responsibilities

Project Manager

• Overall responsibility for programme, cost, quality, and client liaison
• Managing design coordination and subcontractor performance
• Driving delivery to meet BREEAM Outstanding requirements
• Reporting progress and risks to senior management

Senior Site Manager (SSM)

• Day-to-day management of site operations and subcontractors
• Ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
• Coordinating logistics, sequencing, and quality control
• Maintaining the highest standards of health & safety on site

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Proven experience delivering industrial or commercial projects of similar scale
• Strong understanding of steel frame construction and groundworks
• Experience working on BREEAM-rated projects (Outstanding/Excellent preferred)
• SMSTS, CSCS (black or gold), First Aid (for SSM)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
