Job summary

Companies House is seeking an experienced Service Designer to map end-to-end user journeys and lead on service design across complex government services. You will work with stakeholders to identify user-centred solutions under the GOV.UK Service Standard.

The role sits within the UCD team of the Product Design Directorate, collaborating with interaction, content, user research and analytics colleagues to ensure accessible, inclusive services that meet policy objectives.

Qualifications

• Experience in an agile environment with multidisciplinary teams.
• Designing services for a wide range of users including those with accessibility needs.
• Ability to understand technical constraints and deliver user-friendly solutions.
• Expert knowledge of service design including mapping user experience and personas.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for user needs and influence service delivery.
• Collaborate with product, technical, policy and comms teams to explore solutions.
• Lead on development of design concepts using government design patterns.
• Map user journeys and identify pain points; prioritise backlogs based on user needs.
