SmartSourcing Ltd is seeking an experienced Senior Service Designer to lead service design across complex digital services used by millions of citizens in the UK. You will ensure solutions are evidence-based, user-centred and aligned to Government standards.

You will collaborate with product managers, researchers, analysts and multidisciplinary teams to identify opportunities for improvement and deliver measurable outcomes, shaping public services that matter.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Service Designer in UK government or regulated environments.
• Strong knowledge of Government Service Standard and Government Service Manual.
• Experience delivering Discovery, Alpha, Beta and Live phases.

Responsabilités

• Lead end-to-end service design across multiple channels and touchpoints.
• Facilitate service mapping, journey mapping, service blueprinting and workshops.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary agile teams to shape service outcomes.
• Translate user needs and policy requirements into practical service solutions.
• Identify pain points, risks and opportunities for improvement.
• Engage stakeholders across programme, policy, operational and digital teams.
• Use user research and data to inform design decisions.
• Produce artefacts, recommendations and strategic insights.
• Coach teams in user centred design approaches.
