Methods Business and Digital Technology Limited is seeking a Service Designer to develop and advocate user-centred services for government-facing projects. You will map journeys, create service blueprints, and communicate complex design concepts to stakeholders.

The role involves collaboration within a multidisciplinary team, facilitation of workshops, and ongoing contribution to the design community. Located in the UK, this role offers flexible working including home working and part-time

Qualifications

• Passion for service design with user-centred focus.
• Ability to explain design concepts to diverse audiences.
• Comfort balancing user needs with technical constraints.
• Experience running workshops and collaborating across disciplines.
• Ability to interpret user research to inform design decisions.
• Contribute to prototyping across fidelity levels.
• Experience working in agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and apply best practice to design services aligned with government standards.
• Advocate for users and design accessible services.
• Create service maps, blueprints and related concepts.
• Map user journeys and visualize design problems.
• Present ideas with persuasive storytelling to stakeholders.
• Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team and participate in research.
• Coach and mentor junior team members in service design.
• Support learning, development and design community initiatives.
