Job summary

DWP Digital is seeking a Senior Service Designer to shape government services used by millions of UK citizens. You will work with policy, product, delivery and operational teams to explore problems, test ideas and deliver better outcomes for users.

You will drive service design practices, lead workshops, and advocate user-centred approaches across the organisation, helping to create inclusive, resilient and responsive services for change.

Qualifications

• Experience designing end-to-end public services with user needs at the center.
• Ability to lead workshops and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Strong stakeholder engagement across policy, product and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Drive awareness of service performance and opportunities to improve outcomes.
• Articulate whole services using user needs, policy goals, and storytelling.
• Advocate for user-centred ways of working and establish workflows and tools.
• Lead stakeholder conversations and facilitate decision-making across teams.
• Lead small multi-disciplinary teams to apply service design methods and workshops.
• Support the DWP service design community and mentor colleagues.
