Job summary

Avalara, an AI-first cloud tax and compliance company, is seeking experienced Sales Development Representatives to join its growing team in the UK. The role focuses on qualifying inbound leads, shaping the customer first impression, and guiding prospects through the early stage of the sales cycle.

You will work across phone, email, and LinkedIn, collaborate with Sales and Marketing, and strive to meet monthly targets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of sales experience in a similar role.
• Fluent English and ability to articulate product benefits clearly.
• Experience working with inbound leads and using a CRM such as Salesforce.
• Professional, organized, and able to travel to meet customers or visit offices.

Responsibilities

• Be the first contact for inbound leads, shaping the customer's first impression and guiding them through qualification.
• Manage inbound opportunities across multiple channels including phone, email, and LinkedIn.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams to ensure seamless lead management and feedback loops.
• Qualify and disqualify prospects to focus on high-potential opportunities.
• Achieve KPIs such as discovery calls booked, lead qualification, and conversion rates.
• Complete weekly activities to meet sales performance metrics.
