Job summary

Avalara is seeking a driven Sales Development Representative (SDR) to join our E-Invoicing & Live Reporting (ELR) sales development team in the United Kingdom. You will be the tip of the spear, generating and qualifying pipeline through outbound prospecting and inbound demand qualification for our global e-invoicing and live reporting solution.

You’ll engage target accounts, qualify opportunities, and collaborate closely with Account Executives to hand off high-potential leads.

Qualifications

1–2 years in a sales, sales development, business development, or customer-facing role.
Fluent in French and English.
Track record of meeting activity and pipeline targets or demonstrated drive and coachability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with confidence to engage senior buyers.
Strong organization and time-management; balance outbound and inbound priorities.
Curiosity, resilience, and appetite to learn about a evolving market.
Comfort with a modern sales tech stack or ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

Generate and qualify pipeline through outbound prospecting and inbound demand qualification.
Run effective discovery conversations and qualify opportunities against ICP.
Collaborate with Sales Executives to plan accounts and ensure smooth handoffs.
Maintain accurate records of activity, contacts, and opportunities in Salesforce; follow playbooks and cadences.
