Job summary

SRG is seeking a highly capable Senior Scientist to lead PBPK and PBBM modelling efforts for drug development. You will apply mechanistic modelling to understand how drug properties, formulations, dissolution and physiology shape in vivo performance and patient outcomes.

You will collaborate with biopharmaceutics, formulation development, clinical pharmacology and PK/PD teams to support model-informed drug development and regulatory decisions, using tools like Simcyp, GastroPlus or PK-Sim.

Qualifications

• PhD or MSc in Pharmaceutical Sciences or related field, with PBPK/PBBM or pharmacometrics focus.
• Demonstrated expertise in PBPK/PBBM or model-informed drug development.
• Strong knowledge of oral absorption, dissolution and pharmacokinetics.
• Experience using PBPK/PBBM software (Simcyp, GastroPlus, PK-Sim etc.).
• Proven ability to apply modelling to solve drug development challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop, verify, and apply PBPK/PBBM models using platforms such as Simcyp, GastroPlus or PK-Sim.
• Support prediction of oral absorption, food effect, bioavailability, and dissolution.
• Calibrate models, run sensitivity analyses, and assess uncertainty for project decisions.
• Collaborate with lab scientists to design in vitro studies for model development.
• Help develop dissolution methods and in vitro-in vivo links.
• Communicate modelling results via reports, meetings, and regulatory documents.
• Contribute to modelling innovations, automation, and AI/ML-enabled tools.
