Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to join the Data Platforms team. You will drive the design and delivery of trusted, scalable technology products in a secure environment, leveraging Scala, Java and AI-assisted tooling.

You will mentor engineers, set governance for secure coding and testing, and collaborate across teams to raise delivery quality and speed in a cloud-native, enterprise context.

Qualifications

• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced and applied experience in Scala and Java.
• Experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools and secure coding practices.
• Cloud-native experience and ability to work across a modern SDLC.

Responsibilities

• Leads the engineering of metadata, meta-modelling and distributed systems.
• Provides technical guidance to teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews others' code.
• Drives AI-assisted development to improve quality, speed, and reliability.
• Influences product design and operational processes; acts as a subject matter expert.
