Job summary

JPMorganChase's Data Platforms team in the Chief Data & Analytics Office is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer to design and deliver trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable cloud environment.

You will lead an agile team, drive advanced software engineering across metadata, domain-specific languages, and AI-assisted tooling, and mentor engineers while shaping product design and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering.
• Advanced and applied experience in Scala and Java.
• Experience working with asynchronous runtimes like Cats Effect.
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure handling of inputs/outputs.

Responsibilities

• Leads engineering of cutting-edge solutions in metadata, meta-modelling, and distributed systems.
• Provides technical guidance to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews others' code.
• Drives adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Influences product design, application functionality, and technical operations.
• Acts as a subject matter expert across the function and promotes firmwide SDLC tooling.
