You will engineer metadata, distributed systems, and domain logic in a collaborative agile environment, leveraging Scala/Java, cloud native practices, and responsible AI tooling.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, code reviews, and governance across teams to ensure delivery speed and reliability in a secure production environment.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience.
• Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced and applied experience in Scala and Java.
• Experience working with asynchronous runtimes like Cats Effect.
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted software development tools within the work environment with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations.

Responsibilities

• Leads the engineering of cutting‑edge solutions in metadata, meta‑modelling and distributed systems.
• Provides technical guidance to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors.
• Develops secure and high‑quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others.
• Drives adoption and governance of AI‑assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operations.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools, including AI‑assisted development, to improve automation value.
