Job summary

J.P. Morgan is seeking a Senior Lead Software Engineer within the Data Platforms team of the Chief Data & Analytics Office.

You will drive development of trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, scalable environment, applying deep technical expertise across full-stack development and AI-enabled practices. You will guide design decisions, mentor engineers, and contribute to a firmwide SDLC strategy.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts.
Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
Advanced Java and Typescript experience.
Demonstrated experience leading the use of enterprise AI-assisted development tools.
Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows.

Responsibilities

Leads engineering of solutions in metadata, meta-modelling, and distributed systems.
Provides technical guidance to business teams, contractors, and vendors.
Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code.
Drives AI-assisted engineering practices for code quality, testing, and release readiness.
Uses SDLC tools and AI capabilities to improve automation at scale.
Influences product design, functionality, and operations.
Acts as a subject matter expert across focus areas.
