Job summary

OAKTREE CONSULTING is seeking a seasoned Sales Engineer to identify and shape business opportunities, engage customers, and lead technical presales across ASEAN markets. You will translate requirements into tailored solutions, run demonstrations, and support end-to-end proposals and handovers to delivery teams.

The role emphasizes strong communication, technical depth in RAN/DAS systems, and the ability to drive projects across regions. On-site work in a telecom/ICT environment is expected.

Qualifications

• 4+ years as Sales Engineer in telecom/ICT
• Strong communication to articulate value propositions
• Technical/operational background; managing projects across markets
• Analytical and troubleshooting skills
• Basic knowledge of project financial analysis
• Outgoing, self-motivated team player
• Demonstrates agility and practical problem solving

Responsibilities

• Lead presales engagements with solution design and architecture guidance
• Engage customers to translate business and technical needs into fit-for-purpose solutions
• Plan, run demonstrations, trials, and PoC activities to validate solutions
• Develop compelling proposals, cost estimates, BOMs, and compliance matrices
• Collaborate with stakeholders to prepare competitive responses to tenders and RFIs/ROIs
• Ensure smooth handover from presales to delivery teams with required context
