Job summary

OAKTREE CONSULTING is seeking an experienced Sales Engineer to lead presales activities and translate customer requirements into fit-for-purpose solutions in ASEAN markets. The role emphasizes technical guidance, solution design, and end-to-end architecture support.

The candidate should have 4 years of experience in telecommunications/ICT, with 4G/5G RAN, DAS, and indoor coverage expertise, plus excellent communication and project-management capabilities.

Qualifications

• 4 years of experience as a Sales Engineer in the telecommunications or ICT sector, with expertise in 4G/5G radio access networks (RAN), distributed antenna systems (DAS), and indoor coverage solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate value propositions, strategic approaches, and proposed solutions clearly and concisely to customers
• Strong technical or operational background; experience managing projects across ASEAN markets will be a distinct advantage
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to identify, isolate, and resolve technical issues effectively
• Basic knowledge of project financial analysis and reporting
• An outgoing, self-motivated, and independent team player with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
• Demonstrates agility, resourcefulness and develop practical solutions to complex challenges
• Working location is in Ang Mo Kio

Responsibilities

• Identify and assess business opportunities, evaluate market potential, and shape go-to-market initiatives across ASEAN
• Build and strengthen relationships with technology and business partners to unlock new opportunities and develop joint business plans and value propositions
• Engage customers to understand their business and technical requirements, translating their needs into tailored, fit-for-purpose solutions
• Lead the technical aspects of presales engagements, providing solution design, technical guidance, and end-to-end architecture support
• Plan and conduct customer demonstrations, trials, and proof-of-concept activities to showcase capabilities and validate proposed solutions
• Evaluate project viability through financial feasibility assessments, market research, and business planning
• Develop compelling solution proposals, cost estimates, bills of materials, and technical compliance matrices
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to prepare competitive and compliant responses to tenders, requests for information, and requests for quotation
• Ensure a seamless handover from presales to project delivery and implementation teams by providing the necessary technical context and support
