What They’re Looking For
The ideal person is not someone looking to immediately move away from prospecting into management. They’re looking for a strong SDR who still enjoys being on the phones, generating pipeline, and carrying a number, but is ready for more responsibility. You should be someone other SDRs naturally turn to for advice, whether that’s helping with a difficult call, improving messaging, handling objections, staying organized, or getting back on track against target.
You’ll need to be able to manage your own performance while helping other SDRs improve theirs.
The Interview Process
- Introductory interview with the SDR Manager
- Practical outbound exercise focused on ICP selection, account targeting, messaging, and prospecting strategy
- Final presentation and interview with SDR leadership
