Job summary

Jewson in the United Kingdom is seeking a proactive sales professional to build strong relationships with existing customers and develop new accounts. You will provide expert product advice, prepare quotes, follow up leads and convert enquiries into sales.

You'll work with the external sales team and suppliers to maximise opportunities, manage orders from start to finish, and help grow live accounts while supporting the wider branch team with product knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, account management or a customer-facing role in building materials or construction.
• Strong commercial awareness with understanding of pricing and profitability.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with trade customers.
• Proactive in generating leads, following up quotes and winning new business.
• Strong negotiation skills and ability to identify cross-selling opportunities.
• Good organisation and attention to detail when managing quotes, enquiries and orders.
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with existing customers and develop new accounts.
• Provide expert product advice and tailored solutions, including cross-selling Tool Hire and Project Estimator services.
• Prepare accurate quotes, follow up on leads and convert enquiries into sales.
• Proactively contact new, lapsed and existing customers to generate business and grow sales.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales, improve margins and achieve branch targets.
• Work closely with the external sales team and suppliers to maximise opportunities.
• Manage customer orders and enquiries from start to finish, delivering excellent service.
• Develop product knowledge and support the wider branch team when needed.
