Job summary

Jewson Dalkeith is looking for a proactive Sales Specialist who can build strong relationships with customers and understand their needs for building materials and solutions. You will identify opportunities to increase sales through upselling and cross-selling, prepare quotations and process orders to ensure timely fulfilment.

You will develop product knowledge through close collaboration with suppliers, deliver excellent customer service, and advise on pricing, terms, and account management

Qualifications

• Previous sales or customer service experience within the merchanting, construction or distribution sector.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to identify and secure sales opportunities.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Confidence using IT systems and communicating with customers over the telephone.

Jewson Dalkeith (EH22 1RZ) is looking for a proactive and customer-focused Sales Specialist to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in merchanting, construction, industrial distribution or another B2B sales environment who enjoys building relationships, identifying opportunities and delivering outstanding customer service.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 7:30am to 5:00pm Alternate Saturdays: 8:00am to 12:00pm

What You Will Be Doing

• Building strong relationships with new, existing and lapsed customers.
• Understanding customer requirements and recommending the right building materials and solutions.
• Identifying opportunities to increase sales through upselling and cross-selling.
• Preparing quotations, processing orders and ensuring they are fulfilled accurately and on time.

You will also have:

• Previous sales or customer service experience within the merchanting, construction or distribution sector.

• Confidence using IT systems and communicating with customers over the telephone.
