Job summary

Jewson Dalkeith is seeking a proactive Sales Specialist to join our team. You will build relationships with customers in merchanting, construction and related sectors, identify opportunities and deliver outstanding service.

The role runs Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 5:00pm with alternate Saturday 8:00am to 12:00. Experience in merchanting or a similar B2B sales environment is ideal, with a focus on advising customers on building materials and solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience in merchanting, construction, industrial distribution or another B2B sales environment.
• Ability to identify opportunities and upsell to customers.
• Proven track record delivering excellent customer service within a trade/merchanting context.

Responsibilities

• Build strong relationships with new, existing and lapsed customers.
• Understand customer requirements and recommend building materials and solutions.
• Prepare quotations, process orders and ensure timely fulfillment.
• Develop product knowledge by working with suppliers and manufacturers.
• Provide expert product advice and pricing/credit terms guidance.
