Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Birmingham invites applications for a Senior Engineer to join the Roads team. You will contribute to highway design, ensure projects align with budgets and timelines, and mentor junior staff as part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary practice.

You’ll work with clients and internal teams to drive technical quality, deliverables, and continuous improvements across varied schemes.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent; working towards IEng/CEng is advantageous.
Experience in highway design across project life-cycle stages.
Knowledge of design codes and professional standards.

Responsibilities

Support highway designs through all project life-cycle stages.
Ensure projects meet budget, programme, technical standards and legal requirements.
Provide guidance and support to junior staff and mentors.
Contribute to the team’s knowledge base and upskill colleagues.
Assist Project Managers with planning, pricing input and cost estimation.
Check, certify and authorise designs, documents, approvals and reports.
Coordinate resources to deliver work packages for clients.
Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and internal teams.
Support site supervision and ensure works comply with Works Information.
