Job summary

WSP Global Inc. in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic Associate to join the Roads team. You will provide technical leadership to design teams, mentor junior members and deliver high-quality schemes on time and within budget.

The role involves leading multi-disciplinary projects, overseeing budgets, developing client relationships, and ensuring compliance with design codes and CDM regulations. Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status and UK vetting (SC) preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience delivering highway and multi-disciplinary civil engineering schemes.
• Proven ability to lead design disciplines and manage delivery to quality, cost and programme.
• Experience with contract documents and design codes.
• Strong stakeholder management with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to deliver high-quality drawings, specifications and BOQ.
• Oversee multi-disciplinary projects in highways with varying scale, complexity and value.
• Develop and manage client relationships, expectations and project budgets.
• Conduct technical reviews and checks of deliverables and ensure compliance with standards.
• Coordinate resources across the Roads team and wider Transport and Infrastructure business.
• Support business development and pursuit of new opportunities in North West and Midlands.
• Ensure compliance with Health & Safety, CDM regulations and internal QA processes.
