WSP Global Inc. in the United Kingdom is seeking a Civil Engineer to join our Roads business, delivering a diverse range of highways projects in collaboration with National Highways and Local Authority clients across the region.

You will prepare designs in alignment with DMRB, develop using AutoCAD and Civil3D, and deliver work packages with possibilities to manage schemes and multidisciplinary teams. You'll also support planning, pricing, and cost estimation while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• A degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent within a highway design role.
• Working towards IEng or CEng status with a professional institute; professional qualifications are advantageous.
• Highways design experience in accordance with the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB).
• Experience in Designers Duties under CDM.
• Experience in delivering geometric designs using AutoDesk Civils 3D is advantageous.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant legislation, standards and procedures including departures from standard.
• NEC and/or Project Management experience is advantageous.
• A passion for design and developing innovative solutions; demonstrate initiative and ingenuity in solving engineering problems.

Responsabilités

• Prepare designs and specifications in accordance with Design Manual Roads and Bridges (DMRB).
• Develop designs using AutoCAD, and Civil3D.
• Deliver work packages with scope to move up to managing schemes and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Provide support to Project Managers within the design team in planning, pricing of project briefs, proposals, deliverables and cost estimation.
• Be accountable for checking, certifying and authorising for issue designs, documents, approvals, and reports.
• Manage graduate engineers and technicians to deliver work packages coordinating engineering resources.
• Work collaboratively with clients and key stakeholders to deliver the schemes/projects.
• Mentor and upskill more junior staff helping them develop professionally and progress towards professional qualifications.
