Qualifications

• Proven experience working at a senior level in risk assurance, compliance assurance, control testing, internal audit, or risk management within financial services is essential.
• Demonstrable experience of critically analysing information and providing succinct written and verbal reports of the outcomes is necessary.
• Ability to work independently to lead the provision of risk assurance over a variety of risk disciplines is vital.
• Specialist knowledge of assurance methodologies and best practices is essential.
• Ability to communicate complex issues clearly and influence senior stakeholders is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead Risk Assurance activities by managing and delivering thematic and targeted risk assurance testing reviews across the Group.
• Provide strategic support in the testing and validation of material and key controls.
• Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of first-line controls and risk mitigation strategies.
• Lead the provision of risk assurance over a variety of risk disciplines.
• Support the Group Head of Risk Assurance in developing and executing the annual risk assurance plan.
• Produce high-quality reports with clear findings, root cause analysis, and practical recommendations.
