Job summary

Anduril Industries in London is seeking an RF Systems Engineer to own the communications architecture for the Thunder Mission System. You will define the RF architecture, build trust with the team, and prove it through lab and field testing of links, interconnects, and payload integrations.

You will lead cross-disciplinary trade studies, shape requirements, and defend design choices with data. This role requires high ownership, meticulous attention to detail, and strong collaboration across

Qualifications

• 7+ years hands-on RF systems design, build, test and troubleshooting.
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Deep knowledge of RF link budgets, co-site analysis and desense; EMI awareness.
• Fluency with RF test equipment and interpretation of measurements.
• Experience with RF system modelling and simulation.
• Experience with electrical integration of avionics/payloads into UAVs/vehicles.
• Knowledge of aviation comms and Ethernet/IP networking fundamentals.
• Python for test automation and data analysis; automate measurements.
• Ability to work across disciplines and define requirements with non-RF teams.
• Eligible to obtain and maintain UKSV Security Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, integrate, test, and optimise communications hardware across the Thunder Mission System and subsystems.
• Develop RF link budgets, co-site analysis, and desense reports; translate into design decisions.
• Configure, simulate, evaluate, and test RF systems and datalinks in lab and field.
• Create and maintain RF system interconnect diagrams and design docs.
• Select and manage radio, RF components, cables, and antennas vendors.
• Represent the communications subsystem in vehicle-level trade studies.
• Support other teams by communicating RF impacts on designs.
