Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on RF systems design, build, test, and troubleshooting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience with RF link budgets, co-site analysis, desense, and EMI issues.
• Proficient with RF test equipment (spectrum analysers, network analysers, power meters, signal/ function generators).

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, integrate, test, and optimise communications hardware across the Thunder Mission System and subsystems.
• Develop RF link budgets, co-site analysis, and desense reports; translate into design decisions.
• Configure, simulate, evaluate, and test RF systems and datalinks in lab and field.
• Create RF system interconnect diagrams and design documentation.
• Select and manage radio, RF components, cables, and antennas vendors.
• Represent the communications subsystem in vehicle-level trade studies.
• Support other engineering teams by communicating RF system impacts.
