Responsibilities

• Lead the operational resource planning and scheduling function across a large geographical area to ensure workforce resources are aligned to patient demand and service requirements.
• Manage and develop a large team of Resource Planning Managers, Scheduling Coordinators and support staff, promoting high performance and staff wellbeing.
• Provide expert advice and recommendations on workforce planning, resourcing strategies and operational performance to senior leaders across the Trust.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory and organisational requirements, including Working Time Regulations and workforce governance standards.
• Lead performance improvement initiatives and support the development of innovative workforce planning solutions to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
• Build and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders including operational teams, trade union representatives and external partners.
