Job summary

Aspris in Southampton operates a 5-bedded children's home supporting young people with learning disabilities and mental health needs. The Senior Residential Support Worker role involves leading shifts, mentoring colleagues, and upholding the highest standards of care every day.

You will help young people gain confidence, learn life skills, and participate in activities within the local community, while ensuring safety and accuracy in sensitive data and incident reports.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence is essential.
• Automatic enrollment onto NVQ/SVQ qualifications within 6 months of starting.
• Opportunity to be qualified to degree level.
• High attention to detail for handling sensitive information.

Situated in the heart of the vibrant city of Southampton, our Children's Home is a 5-bedded children's home that have provided support and care for children and young people with Learning Disabilities, Attachment Disorder, Asperger's Syndrome and other associated autistic spectrum disorders as well as young people experiencing difficulties with mental health, troubled family relationships or conduct.

Please note, a full UK driving licence is essential.

As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and nurturing home where children and young people can thrive. Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will lead shifts, support and mentor colleagues, and help ensure the highest standards of care are delivered at all times.

You will support our young people to build confidence, develop independence, and achieve positive outcomes, whether that's learning essential life skills, engaging in hobbies and activities, maintaining education attendance, or enjoying new experiences within their local community. No two days are the same, from supporting with daily routines and fun activities, to managing challenging situations and celebrating achievements.
