Job summary

Compass Community Limited is seeking a Senior Residential Support Worker in Hassocks to lead shifts, supervise staff, and ensure high-quality care for children and young people. The role supports placement plans, safeguarding, and education alongside a committed team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in residential childcare setting.
• NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children’s and Young People Workforce is required.
• Valid manual driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach children to build self-esteem and prepare for adulthood through positive relationships and safeguarding.
• Engage with diverse children and young people, including those needing higher supervision and support.
• Lead staff, supervise shifts, enforce policies and procedures, assess risk, and manage rotas and placement plans with education support.
• Provide welfare and guidance to all residential workers.
