Job summary

Caudal Energy is seeking an experienced Business Developer to accelerate growth in tidal energy markets. You will assess markets, identify opportunities, build a healthy project pipeline, and strengthen relationships with customers, partners and stakeholders.

The role requires entrepreneurial mindset, strong commercial and negotiation skills, and the ability to navigate technical, legal, and financial aspects across multiple projects. Hybrid working and pension are available.

Responsibilities

• Market assessment and development: Identify and develop tidal energy markets, customers, and opportunities; monitor markets, policy, subsidies, costs, competitors, and opportunities.
• Project Origination: Identify opportunities for tidal stream projects; assess seabed, resource, grid proximity, planning constraints, environmental considerations; build pipeline.
• Commercial and stakeholder management: Identify developers/investors/utilities/partners; secure LOIs; develop business cases and proposals; support deals to milestones to close.
• Project development coordination: Bring together engineering, marine operations, environment, finance, procurement and customer teams; manage risks and regulatory interfaces for on-time delivery.
