Job Description:

This role will work closely with other members of the Reinsurance Technical Services Team to ensure the timely and accurate initial registration of all reinsurance policies purchased for Chubb’s EMEA wholesale underwriting businesses that operate in the Lloyd’s and London company underwriting markets. The role will also have responsibility for the ongoing administration of the reinsurance policies, including premium adjustments, some accounting and reporting, and preparation of renewal information.

The role will deal with all types of reinsurance (excess of loss, quota share, and facultative), including that placed via Chubb’s Global Treaty facility.

In addition to working closely with colleagues in the Reinsurance Technical Services Team, the role will engage regularly with underwriters, claims handlers, the RI placement team, actuaries, Financial Planning & Analysis, financial reporting teams, Global Treaty, and internal and external auditors.

Requirements & Experience:

• Qualified by experience or educated to graduate level
• Studying or completed Insurance qualification (. CII)
• Strong knowledge and experience of RI contract management, ideally from a London market wholesale business (underwriter or broker). Specialist knowledge of excess of loss reinsurance an advantage.
• People management experience including performance management oversight would be preferred.
• Good knowledge across reinsurance and insurance
• Customer service attitude and good written and verbal communication skills.
• Well organized and able to set and follow up on task deadlines, self-motivated, and able to work well in a small team.
• Attention to detail and good at problem solving.
• Willingness to challenge the status quo.
