Overview of the Role:

The Senior Manager for Recruitment is the accountable lead for talent procurement into the business. They work collaboratively with the Business Partner network, HR Director, and our population of hiring managers to elevate the recruitment and candidate experience at SpaceNK and serve as an internal consultant and problem solver on hard-to-fill vacancies, understanding what mechanics to adopt to find a positive outcome.

The role provides dedicated support to Corporate Support Office recruitment through a period of continuous growth and oversees the volume of recruitment activity across Retail Stores through the team of Advisors. They will also support and govern peak intake seasonal recruitment across Retail Stores and our Distribution Centre.

They will define, control and shape the data motherboard for our recruitment analytics for business wide reporting.

The role will act as an employee and culture champion, marketing Space NK as an unrivalled place to work in the public (candidate) market by leveraging social media and using other levers to continually drive brand awareness.

Role Accountabilities

Stakeholder Relationships:

· Build effective relationships with key stakeholders and field management across the UK, ensuring the People Team is at the heart of our organization while supporting the delivery of our commercial objectives

· Deliver a best-in-class recruitment offering and process to hiring managers across the business which is candidate obsessed and focuses on quality with speed

Project Management:

· Contribute to the development of the People function by continuing to scoping, defining, and executing ongoing projects to improve overall business effectiveness and employer branding and awareness (EVP)

· Lead key HR initiatives and change programs such as advancement of our Applicant Tracking System to bring about an elevated experience within recruitment

Recruitment

• Self-recruit our Corporate Support Office positions across Marketing, CRM, Finance, Technology, Commercial, Education, People, and Distribution

• Manage through the team, all recruitment needs for retail stores, empowering store managers through our process and platforms to co-steer their recruitment journey and keep pace and quality

• Compose talent pools for high-risk areas of turnover to stay ahead of the curve, plotting talent externally across verticals and brands identified

• Work with our chosen agency partners on P&C, critical or niche skillset positions to ensure that we have a strong route to market.

• Lead contract negotiation for best position at times of renewal

Operational Management:

· Collaborate with the Senior Payroll/Reward and Operations Manager on role evaluation and pricing to ensure that we stay competitive to external market and a changing landscape

· Evaluate and price new roles being proposed into the Organisation Design, providing salary benchmarking on roles as required and at times of annual pay review

· Act as the super user of our ATS (TeamTailor) working with our Account Manager and internal team to maximise efficiency and utilisation of the system

· Lead contract negotiation for best position at times of renewal

· Initiate right to work checks through our chosen partner

· Collaborate with the Leadership Team on forecast budgeting and autonomous management of ongoing spend

· Continually evaluate current ways of working identifying opportunities for change while developing all recruitment processes focusing on experience, efficiency, and automation

· Actively report and analyse all recruitment-related KPIs and suggest improvements in reporting

· Create and devise demo videos and training sessions for hiring managers, ensuring that information is relevant, sessions are interactive, and fit for purpose

Collaboration:

· Work collaboratively with the Senior People Partner and wider team, identifying opportunities for change and holding a ‘one team approach’.

· Monitor activities and volumes of recruitment in peak season, pivoting the team accordingly and assessing where support might be needed

· Activate and embed change programs as required through the People Partner network.

People Management:

· Provide coaching and development through constructive feedback to direct reports to ensure the highest level of performance is achieved which is represented through our data

· Upskill members of the team to enable them to support their development and identify areas of opportunities that can be given to encourage growth.
