Job summary

WSP is seeking a Systems Engineering professional to support major rail infrastructure programmes, leading components of projects and mentoring Early Career Professionals. You will apply pragmatic systems thinking to define approaches that reduce risk for clients and contribute to a collaborative project environment.

You will work within a consultancy setting, developing commercial awareness while advancing your Chartered status and technical capabilities, in a hybrid UK-wide role.

Qualifications

• Must have a degree in engineering and be eligible for Chartered status or pursuing it
• Experience delivering systems integration in rail environments
• Proficiency with systems engineering tools (e.g. DOORS) and MBSE techniques
• Ability to lead tasks on projects and mentor Early Career Professionals
• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills; client facing experience

Responsibilities

• Support project teams to solve complex integration problems on major infrastructure programmes
• Lead tasks within a project environment and mentor others on larger projects
• Demonstrate willingness to challenge clients and colleagues and commit to professional development
• Apply systems thinking to reduce risk and add value on big systems engineering projects
• Develop the interval team and gain commercial awareness within a consultancy setting
