Job summary

WSP is seeking a Principal/Associate Systems Consultant - Rail to join its UK teams. The role focuses on delivering complex rail systems integration, leading project tasks, and mentoring Early Career Professionals, while integrating pragmatic systems thinking to reduce risk on large programmes.

You will engage with clients, manage stakeholders, and collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams in a consulting environment, with hybrid working in UK offices.

Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered status or path to Chartership soon.
• Post-degree experience delivering systems integration in rail.
• Experience applying systems engineering tools (e.g. DOORS) and MBSE.
• Experience leading projects and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams to solve complex integration problems on major infrastructure programmes.
• Lead tasks within projects, or handle sole accountability for smaller projects.
• Mentor Early Career Professionals in systems engineering.
• Apply pragmatic systems thinking to define and reduce risk on big projects.
• Develop interval team capabilities and understand project economics.
• Gain commercial awareness within a consultancy setting.
• Proactively learn and network to determine right technical approaches.
• Maintain CPD and build a professional network.
