Job summary

WSP is seeking a systems engineering professional to support major infrastructure programmes across the UK, including rail projects. You will collaborate with project teams, mentor Early Career Professionals, and apply MBSE and DOORS to add value and reduce project risk.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Background in client facing roles and stakeholder engagement.
• A degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Chartered status with a relevant professional body, or plan to achieve Chartered status soon.
• Post degree experience in delivering systems integration in a rail environment.
• Experience applying systems engineering tools (DOORS) and MBSE.

Responsibilities

• Support project teams to solve complex integration problems on major infrastructure programmes.
• Lead tasks within a project environment, and mentor others on larger projects or manage small projects.
• Drive pragmatic systems thinking to reduce risk for clients as part of a team on big systems engineering projects.
• Develop interval team capabilities and seek knowledge from internal/external sources.
• Gain commercial awareness of the wider business while operating in a consultancy environment.
