Job summary

BAM UK & Ireland is recruiting a Rail Systems Lead Design Manager for the HS2 Track infrastructure project at the initial design phase. The role involves coordinating interfaces, leading spatial coordination, and driving design assurance across alliance partners, with emphasis on safety, governance, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in rail systems design and integration.
• Experience in contractor-led or alliance delivery environments.
• Experience managing design interfaces and spatial coordination.
• Knowledge of safety and design assurance principles.
• Chartered Engineer or working towards chartership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical interfaces between rail systems and alliance members.
• Lead spatial coordination of rail systems designs across partners.
• Facilitate resolution of design clashes and interface issues.
• Oversee design progress reporting per client standards.
• Coordinate safety and health and safety in design activities.
