Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Transportation Project Delivery Practice (PDP) is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of major rail projects across the UK. Based from a home office in Manchester, Birmingham, Derby or Stockton-on-Tees, you will manage multi-disciplinary teams and ensure projects meet targets while nurturing client relationships.

Qualifications

Significant experience leading large-scale UK infrastructure projects (>£5M design fees per annum).
Experience with design & build contracts or design development commissions.
Background in Heavy Rail or Light Rail/Mass Transit sectors.
Ability to work with clients to protect commercial objectives.
Knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 contracts.

Responsibilities

Lead major rail projects as Senior Project Manager, or smaller rail projects as Project Director.
Ensure projects meet revenue, profit and cash-flow targets with clear reporting.
Lead multi-disciplinary teams including Project Managers and Design Managers.
Plan resources with resource managers to ensure proper support.
Keep teams aligned on scope, programme, cost, risk, constraints and interfaces.
Lead governance and commercial management through full project life cycle.
Mentor Project Managers and share best practices.
Build strong client relationships to win repeat work.
