Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Transportation PDP is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead major rail projects, ensuring performance against revenue, profit, and cash-flow targets. You will head multi-disciplinary teams and manage resources across the UK and Ireland, with travel 2-3 days per week and a home office in multiple locations.

The role requires extensive experience in UK infrastructure and NEC3/4 contract forms, with a focus on client relationships and delivering controlled project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as a Project Manager on large UK infrastructure projects (>£5M design fees per annum).
• Experience delivering Heavy Rail or Light Rail/Mass Transit projects for networks like Network Rail, HS2, TfL, TfGM.
• Ability to collaborate with clients to protect commercial objectives.
• Understanding of design procedures, change control, and review requirements.
• Familiarity with NEC3/4 or bespoke contract forms and deployment.

Responsibilities

• Lead major rail projects as a Senior Project Manager or smaller rail projects as a Project Director.
• Ensure projects meet revenue, profit and cash-flow targets with clear reporting.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams including Project Managers and Design Managers.
• Plan resources with resource managers to ensure proper support.
• Maintain scope, programme, cost, risk, and interfaces alignment.
• Manage project delivery and contract administration through full lifecycle.
