Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Project Manager within the PDP Rail and Transit team to deliver railway infrastructure projects from feasibility through detailed design. The role requires leading multi-disciplinary teams, coordinating resources, and maintaining governance and budgets while engaging clients and pursuing new opportunities.

You will travel across the UK and Ireland two to three days per week, with a home office in Bristol, London, Cardiff or Swindon, contributing to flagship projects and

Qualifications

• Several years of infrastructure delivery experience.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams on rail projects.
• Understanding of NEC3/4 contracts and change control.
• Ability to work constructively with clients and internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from feasibility to detailed design, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and quality standards.
• Build, motivate, maintain, coach, guide and develop teams.
• Plan ahead with resource managers to ensure the right skills are available and align scope, timelines, costs, risks and interfaces.
• Track and report project progress against KPIs, programme and budgets.
• Ensure governance and commercial management, managing risks and contract changes throughout the lifecycle.
• Act as main client contact, building strong relationships and identifying future opportunities.
• Bid as needed on selective pursuits with Market teams.
