Job summary

AtkinsRéalis Transportation Project Delivery Practice is seeking a Project Manager to deliver railway infrastructure projects across the UK and Ireland.

You will lead from feasibility through to detailed design, manage risks and budgets, and guide multi-disciplinary teams. The role involves UK travel two to three days weekly and a hybrid split between home offices in Manchester, Birmingham, Derby or Stockton-on-Tees.

Qualifications

• Extensive infrastructure delivery experience in a consultancy or client/contractor setting.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary design teams and managing large design fees.
• Familiarity with NEC3/4 or bespoke contracts and change control.
• Ability to lead projects from feasibility to delivery and manage risks.
• Professional membership or recognised project management competence desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from feasibility and optioneering through to detailed design, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
• Build, motivate, coach, guide, and develop teams.
• Plan ahead with resource managers to ensure the right skills are available.
• Track and report progress against programme, quality, financials and KPIs.
• Ensure governance, manage risks, opportunities and contract changes.
• Act as the main client contact, building strong relationships and opportunities.
• Bid Manager on selective pursuits with market teams.
• Share best practices and mentor junior staff within the project management community.
