Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead major rail projects and mentor the project team from a Manchester-based hub. Travel across the UK and Ireland will be required, with a home office option in several locations.

You will guide scope, cost and risk, manage multi-disciplinary teams, and ensure projects meet financial targets while maintaining client satisfaction and delivery quality.

Qualifications

• Significant PM experience on large-scale UK infrastructure projects (>£5M design fees per year) in consultancy.
• Experience delivering work for clients such as Network Rail, HS2, TfL and local authorities.
• Ability to work collaboratively with clients to protect AtkinsRéalis’ commercial objectives.
• Good understanding of NEC3/4 contracts and related governance.

Responsibilities

• Lead major rail projects as Senior Project Manager or smaller rail projects as Project Director.
• Ensure projects meet revenue, profit and cash-flow targets with clear reporting.
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams including Project Managers and Design Managers.
• Plan resources with resource managers to ensure proper support.
• Maintain alignment on scope, programme, cost, risk and interfaces.
• Manage project delivery and contract administration through the full life cycle.
• Share best practice and mentor Project Managers and team members.
• Build strong client relationships and support regional rail strategy.
