Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Engineering Manager track for Railway projects in the UK. You will coordinate engineering packages across design, procurement, construction, installation, testing and commissioning, working with multiple disciplines and authorities to ensure safe, compliant delivery.

The role emphasizes collaboration, interface management and practical judgment, with flexibility in location and working arrangements across UK offices.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable post-training experience in railway or comparable safety-critical engineering.
• Practical experience coordinating defined engineering packages and interfaces across design and construction.
• Experience with materials or equipment, technical deliverables, construction interfaces and engineering change.
• A relevant technical qualification through degree, HNC/HND, apprenticeship or equivalent learning and experience.
• Evidence of continuing professional development and current technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate defined multidisciplinary engineering packages and interfaces across design and delivery, communicating technical information, decisions and changes clearly among disciplines, suppliers, construction teams, project management and clients.
• Plan and coordinate engineering interface meetings and interdisciplinary reviews with proper documentation of decisions and actions.
• Support package completion and handover by coordinating design, construction, testing, commissioning, materials, compliance, asset and Safety File records.
• Resolve engineering issues within assigned packages considering safety, compliance, constructability, interface, cost and programme implications.
• Build effective relationships across engineering, construction, suppliers, project management and client teams, ensuring actions are understood and progressed.
