Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the United Kingdom seeks a Project Manager for the Rail sector to lead civil and structural design delivery across a broad project portfolio, from new builds to renewals and maintenance. You will manage multi-disciplinary teams and collaborate with Network Rail, TfL, TOCs and principal contractors.

You will mentor staff, oversee scopes, contracts, budgets and schedules, and pursue competitive bids while strengthening client relationships.

Qualifications

• Strong Project Management skills with commercial awareness and financial control.
• Excellent interpersonal and client-facing abilities across engineering disciplines.
• Degree in a related discipline is required.
• Understanding of engineering consulting, and Network Rail / TfL approval processes.
• Experience with key clients such as Network Rail, TfL, Train Operating Companies and Principal Contractors.
• Experience delivering Station and Depot schemes.
• Knowledge of NEC contract administration; JCT is a plus.
• Member of the APM or able to work towards MAPM.

Responsibilities

• Manage multi-disciplinary design projects from optioneering to construction.
• Support Senior Project Managers on more complex schemes.
• Independently carry out Project Management tasks and guide junior staff.
• Lead in-house and external teams in design, assessment, and maintenance.
• Develop scopes and manage internal supply chain including contracts, budgets, programme and quality.
• Deliver internal and external survey works.
• Lead bids and tenders and develop client relationships.
• Provide mentorship and support development aspirations.
