Job summary

AtkinsRéalis UK Limited is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead technical delivery of multi-disciplinary Transportation projects, with a focus on rail and light rail. You will supervise design packages, manage budgets and programmes, and act as Contractor’s Engineering Manager across major projects in the UK.

You will build cohesive design teams, coordinate cross-disciplinary interfaces, and drive safety and standards compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven Engineering Management delivery experience of multi-disciplinary railway and/or light rail projects.
• Experience in a technical leadership role or supporting a technical leader.
• Experience as CEM or supporting a CEM.
• Chartered or Incorporated status within core engineering discipline.
• Strong understanding of UK rail safety standards and regulations.
• Proven track record of maintaining the workbank.
• Experience responding to pre-qualification, proposals and tenders, including pricing elements.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design packages for rail and light rail projects through full lifecycle.
• Active management of budget and programme to ensure on-time delivery.
• Undertake the role of Contractor’s Engineering Manager (CEM) on a range of projects.
• Lead CDM/CSM requirements.
• Create cohesive design teams across local, national & international resources.
• Coordinate cross-disciplinary interfaces to ensure successful delivery.
• Prepare pre-qualification responses and tenders; grow the engineering management workbank.
