Job summary

Egis Transport Solutions is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to lead the electrical design for rail station projects in London. You will manage engineers, drive delivery from feasibility through construction, and ensure adherence to client requirements and industry standards.

The role requires extensive rail electrical design experience, strong leadership, and the ability to coordinate across disciplines in a BIM-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered with the Engineering Council in the UK.
• Sufficient rail industry experience.
• Experience with NR‑L2‑RSE‑02009 governance.
• Knowledge of British Standards and rail standards (Network Rail/HS2/TfL).

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers across projects.
• Mentor junior engineers to build technical capability.
• Represent electrical discipline in client and project meetings.
• Oversee full lifecycle of electrical design from Feasibility to As‑Built.
• Ensure designs meet standards and regulatory requirements.
