Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced electrical design lead to join our rail and built environment projects in the UK. You will drive design and integration on multi-disciplinary teams, ensuring client commitments are met with quality, on time and within budget.

You will mentor direct reports, coordinate with engineers and suppliers, and apply standards to ensure safety and regulatory compliance across project lifecycles.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of electrical services design within built environment or rail/transport projects.
• Experience using industry standard electrical calculation software.
• Understanding multi-disciplinary issues around railway lineside systems and the built environment.
• Qualification: HNC or equivalent; professional status of IEng or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to design and integration on projects, meeting client commitments on quality, time and budget.
• Monitor project team performance and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Manage the checking and approval process to ensure compliance with client, project and SYSTRA procedures.
• Ensure clear communication of project requirements to the team.
• Act as Work Package Manager on small to medium projects.
