Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Lead to oversee design and integration on rail and built environment projects in the UK. You will lead electricity distribution, signalling power, and lighting design, coordinating with multidisciplines to meet client requirements.

You will monitor performance against budgets and schedules, check engineering designs and calculations, and act as Work Package Manager on small to mid-size projects, ensuring safe, compliant delivery

Qualifications

• Experience leading electrical services design within built environment or transport
• Experience using industry-wide software for electrical calculations
• Knowledge of railway lineside systems and built environment multidisciplinary issues

Responsibilities

• Lead and contribute to design and integration on projects, meeting client commitments
• Monitor project team performance against contractual obligations and quality
• Manage the checking and approval process for engineering designs and calculations
• Ensure project requirements are communicated to the team
• Act as Work Package Manager on small to medium projects
• Promote safety and compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation
