Job summary

AmcoGiffen is recruiting a Construction CRE (Civils) to lead engineering assurance across a diverse rail civils programme in the North West & Central region. You will act as CRE-C, coordinating design interfaces and maintaining NR compliance on bridges, earthworks, stations and assets.

The role demands strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills to deliver safe and compliant civils works on CP7 and framework projects across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering rail civils projects with CRE-C responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of Network Rail standards and assurance processes.
• Proven ability to manage design and construction interfaces.
• Track record of delivering safety, quality and performance on complex schemes.

Responsibilities

• Undertake the role of Contractor's Responsible Engineer (CRE-C) per Network Rail standards.
• Ensure activities are carried out safely and in compliance with requirements.
• Lead engineering assurance across construction delivery.
• Manage design interfaces and coordinate with project teams and external designers.
• Ensure the assurance process aligns with Network Rail procedures.
• Review construction methodologies, temporary works proposals and submissions.
• Oversee delivery against programme, budget and quality requirements.
• Identify and manage risks, opportunities and constructability issues.
