Job summary

Construction, Property and Engineering seeks an experienced Civil CRE to join the work winning team in Manchester. This 6-month contract is inside IR35 and requires strong on-site leadership for civil infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities include sign-off of WPPs, ITPs, and RFIs, plus close collaboration with Design CRE and CEM. Applicants must hold Network Rail CRE acceptance and relevant safety qualifications for UK rail environments.

Qualifications

• Proven track record of holding Network Rail CRE (Construction) acceptance on civil engineering/infrastructure projects.
• Degree/HND/HNC in Civil Engineering; Chartered status is desirable.
• Valid safety/site qualifications: PTS, CSCS Black/Gold Card, SMSTS.

Responsibilities

• Sign off as the nominated Construction CRE for civil works on site.
• Review, sign off, and enforce WPPs, TBSs, and ITPs.
• Collaborate with Design CRE and CEM to resolve RFIs and manage design changes.
• Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards, NR/L2/CIV and project specs.
• Lead site inspections, engineering audits, and handovers to delivery teams.
