Job summary

Kier Group in Rickmansworth is seeking a Senior Quantity Surveyor to lead commercial management on the Maple Lodge STW project. Based in Rickmansworth, you will manage cost control, procurement and reporting, mentoring junior QSs, and deputising for the Commercial Manager from construction through to final account.

You will apply strong contract management skills on major civil infrastructure works, lead CVRs and forecasts, and ensure governance and alignment with project objectives.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on major civil engineering, process or water infrastructure projects.
• Strong contract management and change control experience.
• Experience managing subcontract packages through the full commercial lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial and financial aspects of allocated works packages, ensuring adherence to contract terms and governance.
• Prepare and maintain detailed cost forecasts, cashflow projections, and variance analyses with timely reporting.
• Lead change management processes including valuation, justification and agreement of variations.
• Manage procurement and administration of subcontract packages from tender to final account settlement.
• Provide guidance to Quantity Surveyors and Assistant QSs and support their development.
